WELLNESS Dream Big

This month we invite our children to ‘Dream Big’ in partnership with the Wellness for Children Initiative and the Children’s Moonshot Calendar.

Children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way as the song says!

Their dreams and aspirations will help to shape future generations. As parents, caregivers and guardians we have a responsibility to nurture our children’s unique gifts and talents. Together we can guide them to reach their full potential. Encouraging children to ‘Dream Big’ helps to develop confidence, discover their own interests and learn to be leaders.

At Junior Genius Global, we understand the importance of goal setting and teaching our Children how to achieve their goals. The Global Wellness Institute recognises the 6 pillars of wellness as the foundation of our well-being. We know that structure and routine are essential for our little ones in the formative years. They feel safe and can transition better from activity to activity both at home and in school if they know what to expect and when.

Additionally, when a young child is supported by good nutrition, daily movement and regular sleep they thrive! They can ‘Dream Big’ and achieve simple, age appropriate goals they set for themselves. It could be as simple as learning new words, baking a cake, writing a note to Mom or Dad, the point is to create a safe and fun home environment where your child feels comfortable and confident to try new things.

Achieving success at a young age will motivate our little ones to become resilient, happy and have a positive outlook on life.

Studies have shown that having goals and aspirations are strongly associated with positive outcomes. We feel compelled to support the one in five children across the globe who are diagnosed with a mental health disorder.

When we introduce children to the concept of well-being at an early age , when we teach them the importance of self control, of taking responsibility for their actions, we reduce the risk of anxiety, depression and low self esteem. When we encourage feelings of self worth, confidence and pride we can see the positive outcomes in their behaviours and achievements.

Teaching positive daily affirmations is a powerful way to engage children in good mind habits.

Grateful children are happy children and practising gratitude daily is another activity that can inspire children to be more optimistic, show empathy to others and feel fulfilled in life. Practising gratitude from an early age can have a profound effect on a child’s future. Research shows that gratitude plays a major role in an adult’s well-being and success in life.

At Junior Genius Global, our Home Wellness Collection has many enjoyable activities to support parents and caregivers to inspire our children to ‘Dream Big’. So take a moment to share your dreams and aspirations with your child. Let them know how many you've achieved along the way and encourage them to achieve theirs.
